HIGHLIGHTS
This course will lead the learner to acquire knowledge through a friendly environment, skilled trainers, adaptable content, and practical learning.
Course Content
These qualifications are made up of units each representing a small step of learning.
This allows the qualifications to be completed at your own pace.
All of the units achieved can be ‘banked’. This means that if you want to take another qualification
which includes the same units you do not have to take them again.
Each Knowledge unit has:
• a level - shows how difficult it is
• a unit aim – explains what is covered in the unit
• learning outcomes – cover what you need to do (skills) or what you need to understand
(knowledge)
• assessment criteria – what you need to show (evidence)
Each learning outcome is linked to a number of assessment criteria. Evidence must be provided for all
the assessment criteria to gain the unit
Minimum knowledge assessment will be conducted for enrollment and registration purposes.

look in a real-world application.Upon achievement of this qualification, learners will be able to progress
to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care. The
The certificate supports learners’ access to Higher Education and
progression to further learning at Level 4 and above, and a wide range
of job roles within the health and social care sector.
These qualifications have been designed and written by a team of subject matter experts, and we have
involved employers and Higher Education Institutions in the review of the content. All three qualifications have been awarded UCAS points.
This means that it’s the first report to meet the DCS criteria on the 2 review pathway. DCS hasn’t been awarded yet but will be achieved if the next visit meets the criteria and takes place within 18 months of the first visit.
DCS is awarded for each individual qualification and therefore the number of learners sampled would be considered per qualification.
It also depends on the status of the centre and how many reviews you need to achieve DCS.
If you’re delivering the qualification for the first time and would like to achieve DCS in one review, then the following criteria must be met in your EQA report:
